The examples below use the file named vcredist_x 86.exe, but you can substitute the x64 or ia64 versions of the EXEs with equivalent command lines to achieve the same behavior for them as well. Silent install. I want to silently install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 with NSIS. However, the correct exit code is not being returned. I tested with several types of variations.
Hi WrpMarkus,
I would suggest you to disable or uninstall Ad Aware completely and remove all the components of previous installations.
Refer the KB article mentioned below and run the tool mentioned in the link to fix the problem.
Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.ATL, version:

Thanks Afzal Taher,
I ran the registry editor, but I could not find any of the registry keys in the details pane of the COMPONENTS section that were displayed in the article, i'll try removing Ad-Aware in the Windows Install Clean Up.
UPDATE
I uninstalled and deleted everything that I could find of Ad-Aware and LimeWire (I saw that LimeWire was preventing Java to be updated) but the problem still persists.

I think that this could be part of a bigger problem, because I-Tunes and QuickTime have stopped working, and my DivX updater has a side-by-side configuration error when I try to start it, I know that this error is related to Error 1935.
Also, I have a bunch of MP4 files, but now when I try to play them, it says that it cannot open the file.
I think that all of these problems could be linked to a Runtime library problem.

Hello WrpMarkus,
What errors do you have in the event log dealing with the vcredits_x86.exe? I am hoping the application or system event log will give us a better clue as to what is happening to your system.
Please reply back and we will try to assist you.
Thanks,
